So I filed a 3115 last year to catch up on rental property depreciation since 2012, but neglected to include that depreciation on lines 18 (for 2021) and lines 19 (for the catch-up depreciation) on the Schedule E form. Do I have to then amend last years return and fix that or can I file the 3115 correctly, along with the 8582 since the depreciation will be a lot.

If you filed the 3115 last year and forgot to actually deduct the depreciation, you should amend.

Also, follow the instructions carefully for the form. In addition to attaching it to your return, you were supposed to mail a signed copy to the IRS.
