How can I clear the selection of 'no' I won't prepare 1099s for rental property contractors? TT says it has to be blank but I can't clear it.

It says I can't e-file unless that box is blank on schedule E since I don't need to issue 1099s...but in the review I can only select Yes or No, there is no way to clear it. I can't get back to the guided entry to redo it. Help?

Here are the steps in TurboTax Online:

    1. Open your return.
    2. Go to Wages & Income >> Rental Properties & Royalties (Sch E).
    3. Click Add/Edit.
    4. Edit (pencil icon) the property you need to work on.
    5. Click the pencil icon under the house icon for "Rental Property Info."
    6. On the page Review your rental property info, look for "Required to send a 1099" at the bottom above the Looks Good button.
    7. Click Edit.
    8. Choose Yes and Continue.
    9. On the next page, click "Yes, I did or will send them."
    10. Continue back to the property summary page.
    11. You can either leave the responses as they are, or go back to Step 6 and change the answer in Step 8 to "No."
    12.  When you're done, click Looks Good.

You should not need to leave it blank, you should be able to select "NO, you do not need to file any Form 1099"

Please go back to the Rental and Royalties section

Select the rental from the list under "Rental Profile"

Select "Yes" to review and the question should be asked again.

If you still need assistance, please tell us which TurboTax program you are using and if Desktop or Online.

Thank you for the response.  That's exactly what I've been trying to do...but I've already reviewed and paid -- was trying to file anyway b/c the 'no' here shouldn't matter since I don't NEED to issue 1099s -- and I don't get the option to review with the questions anymore.  AND it won't let me e-file without "fixing" this problem.  I can only go directly to the section and adjust the information directly (not the guiding questions)...except that I can't adjust that part without the questions.    I'm using online TurboTax Premium.
