How can I remove a rental property from my tax documents? I did not rent it in 2022.

do you plan to rent in 2023 or in the near future?  then you should probably leave it if you want to avoid having to reenter data in the future. if not, first print out the depreciation information because you are going to need it when you sell. also, note that TurboTax only keeps returns for 6 or 7 years. after that, the return is deleted and therefore unrecoverable. Or perhaps save pdf copies of the return. one copy on your computer and one on a flash/thumb drive. the reason for 2 places is that you would be surprised at the number of taxpayers asking how to recover old returns when their computer drive goes bad (or maybe it's hacked) and the Turbotax online copy is gone.

you may need to delete each asset and then the form itself.
