I have all the transaction data (cost basis, etc), I just can't get to screen where I can manually enter it.  Appreciate the help!

You will enter your information as if you did receive the 1099-B, but it will be entered as an individual transaction.

  1. Start at Federal
  2. Wages and Income
  3. Scroll to Investments & Savings
  4. Select Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B) [Start or Revisit]
  5. Did you have investment income in 2022? - Yes
  6.  Get ready to be impressed  Continue
  7. You can enter your information to import the details
  8. You should enter this manually
  9. Select Enter a different way.
  10. Choose the Box Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds Continue
  11. Follow the interview to post your information.

Thank you for the response.  I followed the directions exactly (and have actually gotten to this point previously).

The problem is... the screen now says "Which bank or brokerage is on your 1099-B?"  I don't have a 1099-B as I mentioned in my question.

Then, on the next screen, the TT interview is asking me to fill out Box 1a, Box 1b, Box 1c, etc.  I don't have a form with those boxes on it.

Are you saying that I should fill out these fields as if I DID have a 1099-B for this stock sale; filling out what I can and leaving other fields (like brokerage name, etc) blank ?

If you are using the online version of TurboTax, you may need to choose the Other investment sale option as opposed to the stock sales option if you don't have a form 1099-B. You will be given the opportunity to enter stock sales, but you won't need to enter form 1099-B information.
