Question

How do I enter origination fee from my rental property on the tax form?

Hello,

I think I can deduct points I paid over time. But what about origination fee? Should I add it as an additional item under assest similar to the property itself and the points I paid, or should I aggregate the fee to the expense question asked before (if so, which fee type should I put it under)?

Thanks!

Yes, "origination fees" are another name for points. If you have both, add them together and enter under Rental Assets for depreciation.
