How do I file my taxes if I work and am domiciled in CA but live half time in AZ where I have a rent a house and utilities?

My husband who I file jointly with lives full time in AZ.

Your resident state is where you official live, typically where your driver license was issued. Since you are filing jointly with an Arizona resident, this is probably the best choice for your resident state.

 

Any other state where you earned income would be filed as a non-resident return. We recommend that you complete the interview for your non-resident state first, then complete the resident state interview.
