among the Turbotax worksheets (this is not submitted to the iRS) is a capital loss carryforward worksheet

  1. Open your TurboTax account and select the Federal Taxes tab.
  2. Click on Wages and Income and select I’ll choose what I work on.
  3. Under Investment Income, click on Capital Loss Carryover and select Start or Update.
  4.  In the online version, you have to save your return with all the worksheet as a pdf file to your computer to see the Capital Loss Carryover Worksheet. There might be two worksheets: one showing the carryover from the prior year and the current amounts, and another showing the amount transferring over to next year
