How do I report a stock sale when I don't have a 1099-B?

Unlike previous years, TurboTax Premier doesn't prompt with a question of whether I received a Form 1099-B.

I think that you are saying that you have access to an IRS form 1099-B but cannot locate how to update TurboTax Online Premium with your 1099-B information.

If so, In TurboTax Online Premium, access IRS form 1099-B information as follows:

    • Under Wages & Income, scroll down to Investments and Savings.
    • Click the down arrow and click Start/Revisit to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Other.
    • At the screen Let's finish pulling in your investment income, click on Add investments.
    • At the screen Let's import your tax info, select the name of your 1099-B provider, OR
    • Click Enter a different way to view other options for accessing your IRS form 1099-B.

No, that's not it.  There is no 1099-B as it was a private transaction between me and another individual.  There was no intervening broker or financial institution involved.

To clarify, what type of a transaction is this?
