Solved

How do I report part of the stocks I sold - that I had acquired as "Series Seed Preferred (Certified)" stocks? Since still private company - will not get any 1099B.

I do know base value and can calculate gain - but not sure where  and how to report.

You will want to know that dates for purchased and sold so that you can enter the data to ensure proper calculation of short and long-term gains.

You can enter the stock transactions at:

Sign into TurboTax

  • Click on Take me to my return
  • Click on Federal in left column
  • Scroll down to Investment Income and Click Show More if necessary
  • Click on Start on Stock, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other
  • Next screen Did you sell any investments in 2017 - Click Yes
  • Next screen Did you get a 1099-B or a brokerage statement for these sales - Click No
  • Choose Stocks and enter the necessary information
  • TurboTax will calculate the capital gain
