Question

How do I stop TurboTax from forcing me to provide a town, address and zip code for my farm rental?

Schedule E instructions explicitly say no address, town, or zip code is necessary for a farm rental, but TurboTax won't allow it.  The farm isn't in a town, for heaven's sake!

You can enter the postal office address, town and zip of the county in which the property is located to move along in the program.

The answer is as good as any can be at this time.  Technically the TurboTax program is broken here.  Farm rentals are not in an incorporated town and simply have no address or zip code.  Plus, the IRS instructions explicitly say none of that is required for a farm rental, but TurboTax requires it to proceed and file.
