How to Enter Form 1099-S Data in TurboTax Deluxe (Windows)

When I try to enter the 1099-S data for sale of an investment house into TurboTax Deluxe, the program fills out a Form 1099-B, even though I answered the question at the beginning that I did not receive a 1099-B.   Does TT Deluxe have a separate section solely for the 1099-S data that I am somehow overlooking?  If not, would it work better if I upgrade to Premier for 2023?

If I do upgrade to Premier, will I have to re-enter all the data that I had previously entered into the Deluxe program?

Thank you

Yes, you must upgrade and no you will not have to re-enter your information.

If you are using the online version of TurboTax, you will need Premier to enter the information from form 1099-S. It is considered the sale of an investment. If you are using the CD/Download version of TurboTax, you can report the 1099-S using the Deluxe version.

Here is how to upgrade.  With your return open in TurboTax, select Upgrade TurboTax at the very bottom of your screen, toward the right. (If you don't see the upgrade option here, you can also find it by selecting Help from the top menu.) In the new window, select the version you'd like to upgrade to and select Upgrade Now.
