How to report the sale of stock when the purchasing company does not issue a 1099-B ?

    It is still reported as an investment sale, just without the Form 1099-B.  Follow the instructions in the following TurboTax help article to go through the process.  Even though other investment types are listed in this article, when you are actually reporting the sale, you can show that it was stock being sold.
