I am a custodial account holder for my granddaughter. Do I claim any of her dividends as capital gains?
Granddaughter is 5 years old. Under account information it says Unif Trans Min Act ID
You do not have to report your granddaughter's income on your return.
The account should be listed under her social security number as the primary account holder, with you as "guardian" (UTMA - Uniform Transfer to Minors Act)
