I am trying to post a loss carryover for 2019 based on a loss in 2018. I received directions on how to do it. What do I do?

Are you referring to a capital loss? If so, if you used TurboTax in 2018 and you are using the same account, it will automatically carry over. If you used a different service in 2018, just search for capital loss carryover, and then select the Jump to link in the search results. We'll take you to the screen where you can enter that info from your prior year return.
