I currently plan to contribute to my Roth IRA before April 18. What if I don't? Do I need to amend my return to reflect that?

If I tell TurboTax I will, but it still chooses standard deduction, does it matter whether I contribute or not to my Roth IRA this month? Do I need to amend the return to correct this bit of information once I decide? I plan to file really soon.

No, if you do not make the contribution to your Roth IRA, you will not have to amend your tax return because unlike a traditional IRA contribution, you cannot take a tax deduction for the contribution.
