I sold nothing - I had some interest & dividend that is reflected in income.

If it thinks that you sold stocks and bonds is it possible that you have capital gains reported on your 1099-DIV? Capital gains are generated by stock sales and require a schedule D be filed. Schedule D is not available in the free edition of TurboTax.

Thank you Robert, I checked & redid entire form & came up with same result. Must use Plus because I sold stocks- NOT.

can you give me name of another Free tax preparer, I have used TurboTax for years but I’m not going to pay for something I shouldn’t have to- simple form - nothing complicated or addt’l forms.
