I have a like kind exchange of rental property that is getting double counted....form 4797 and again om form 8824
How to I removed the detail of the rental property that was exchanged from form 4797?
You need to go back through the Sale of Business Property section again and delete the details of the transaction that involve a gain.
You should not have a Form 4797 in your tax package from this transaction unless there was boot.
