Question

I have a Personal Trainer with a home Gym. I also rent a bedroom through AirBnB. How is this entered to correctly calculate Property Tax and Mortgage Interest?

Under the summary, it appears that it doubled the Mortgage Interest and Property Tax.

You will need to enter the correct amounts for Mortgage Interest and Property Tax yourself. You are using your home for personal use, as a rental by renting a room, and as a business by having an area used exclusively for your business as a Personal Trainer.

Determine the percentages of the area of your home that is used in different ways. Include some of the Mortgage Interest and Property Tax on Schedule A for personal use, another amount on the Home Office for Schedule C, and the remaining amount on Schedule E for the AirBnB.

Just double-check your entries to make sure if totals the actual amounts for Mortgage Interest and Property Taxes.
