I have a rental property, do I really need TurboTax Live Premium at $219 for federal only? I have always used a Deluxe version for around $80. Thanks.

(I have had this rental property since 2010 and have used TurboTax all along, not sure why they are requiring a much more expensive product this year)

You can use any desktop version, but if you use an online version you will need Premium.

Did you use the Desktop program before? For Online you've always needed Premier or higher to enter Rentals, not Deluxe. You can remove the Live expert help feature.

How to remove Turbo Tax Live. There are 2 different ways to remove Live depending on how you added it

I'm the original poster - thank you, when I filed an extension last April I must have selected Deluxe Live and then it wanted me to upgrade. I couldn't downgrade, but I could delete all of the information and start over, in Deluxe DIY ($129). Anyway, thanks again.
