Solved

I now own my mother in-law home. She lives in it but does not pay us any rent to live there. Do I put this info for the house under rental?

No, you don't report the home as a rental; you don't need to report any information about yours or your mother-in-law's living arrangements either.   Since she is not paying any rent, the property is NOT a rental property, there is no rental income or expenses to report.

If you own the property and paid real estate tax or have mortgage interest, you can deduct them under Deductions & Credits> Your Home.
