Question

I received a 1099 for farm land rental

Not sure what the request for proper forms refers to.

 

Follow these steps to report the income.

 

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages & income.
  • Scroll down to Rentals, Royalties, and Farm.  Click the down arrow to the right.
  • Select Start / Revisit to the right of Farm Income and Farm Rental.

At the screen Tell us about your farm or farm rental income, select I received agricultural payments on a 1099-Misc or 1099-G for my farm rental.
