I received free shares from my company in 2018 but did not take any money out. Do I need to report this?

Company gave me free shares in 2018 but did not take the money out. I received a separate document saying addition W-2,1099-B and 1040. Do I need to report this?

It depends on the FMV of the shares on the date of issue. Also all restrictions need to considered in determing their valuation
