I sold stock in 2022 that was acquired because stock I owned split. Not sure how to answer the question "Did you buy every investment listed on your 1099-B?"

I did buy the stock that split as part of an ESPP, but technically did not buy the stock I sold. I'm not sure how to answer this question.

Answer the question with a Yes. If you purchased the original shares, then any additional shares you received as a result of a split still count as being purchased by you. The only thing that changes as a result of a split is your per-share cost basis.
