Question

I was a TX resident all of 2022 and the last half of 2021. OK tax was deducted even though I did not reside in Okla nor did I earn the pay in Okla. Help?

What OK form should I use to get all of my OK income tax paid returned to me?

You would file a nonresident OK return.  In the "My Info" scroll down to the "Other State Income" topic.  There you will indicate you earned income in another state and select "OK."  This will generate the OK nonresident return.

In the OK return you will be able to exclude any non OK source income.  If there is no OK source income then any taxes withheld will be refunded.

You also need to notify your employer to stop withholding OK taxes so that you do not need to file there going forward.
