Question

In what section do you report proceeds from a Unit Investment Trust in turbo tax? This is not an option under the "investment type" dropdown

I need to report proceeds from a Unit Investment Trust (UIT) with an "N/A" date acquired. UIT is not an option under the investment type dropdown.

You report the sale/disposition of a Unit Investment Trust (UIT) the same way you report the sale of a stock or mutual fund.  Under Investment Income, select "Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bods, Other".   You can use "Various" as the date acquired.
