Question

Is the restricted stock unit classification currently broken? All my sales come up with 0 for proceeds and basis. 1099 and sale info has been added.

The RSU classification seems to be working.

When you first enter the sale of stock, after you are asked if you have a 1099-B, you will be asked if it is an RSU, say yes.

When you are asked if you need help calculating your basis, say yes and it will ask about the grant information from your employer.

If your stock has already been entered, edit that transaction and select 'guide me step by step'.

If that does not solve your problem, I would suggest that you schedule a callback with a TurboTax expert to get this resolved.

The expert will be able to see your TurboTax screens to guide you screen-by-screen and offer advice.

To schedule a call, click on 'Help' in the top of your screen on the right.

Then select 'Contact us'

Then 'Talk to a person'

Thanks.  Turns out I missed the number of shares sold text box.  For some reason I just didn't notice it in the interface and I would have expected an error for number of shares not being filled out (or zero).  All good now.
