Question

K-1 for rental property located in SC has a mailing address of VA. How do I get the K-1 into the right state return

    The mailing address for the K1 should not effect the states that you owe income tax to.  

     

    If your rental property is in South Carolina and you are not a resident of South Carolina then add a non-resident return to your file and make sure the rental income is included there.  

     

    If you are a resident of South Carolina then all of your income should be taxed there.
