liquidating distributions in same tax year

received 1099-DIV for cash liquidation distribution amount that was dispersed on two different dates in 2024 representing complete liquidation

would I enter stock sale on schedule D for entire amount on final date or use two entries one for each date and prorate the shares, proceeds, and cost basis between them?

end cap gain would be the same so not sure if matters

does the 1099-DIV just show the total for the year. did you get o a a 1099-B or was this privately help. i would report the same as the 1099-B if you got one otherwise just one sale.
