I have a rental property but the tenants did not pay rent for 2 years, my question is can I file negative loss of rental on the turbo tax. Can the IRS allow deduct on the loss of rental income.

if you're asking if you can deduct the rent you never got the answer is no because you never included it in income. if this s is not the question, please clarify and tells us if the tenants are friends or relatives that you are allowing to live rent free,

The tenants were evicted for 2 years now still in the court process and we did not collecting rent for two years. we cannot claim loss rental income but we deduct the depreciation and expenses for the property right.

If the tenants are still occupying the property, you can deduct depreciation and claim other rental expenses.
