Modifying Capital Loss Carryover
My wife and I are each doing a tax return this year "Married Filing Separately". Last year's (2023) return was filed "Married Filing Jointly". We had a capital loss carryover from last year.
I want to override the capital loss carryover from last year on this year's return. Basically, split the carryover into two - one part goes in my return and the other on my wife's return.
Is there a way to do this by modifying some value in the software? Short of doing a new return on another computer where Turbo Tax has no visibility into last year's return?
