Question

My husband sold stocks last year, and the profit was $9. The total dividends for the year were $2.75, and the capital gains distribution was 0. Do we need to claim them?

We are awaiting a 1099-B from Robinhood but they were supposed to be out today and we haven't heard anything.

Yes, according to the IRS, you have to report all income, however small.

I recommend that you report all 1099-B and 1099-DIV on your tax return.
