Question

Our adult child no longer qualifies as a dependent due to his income. He lives with us and pays no rent or his own food. Which option do I choose?

Regarding health insurance marketplace question.  He is on our insurance policy, but made enough income to have to file his own tax return.  How do I answer:  I shared insurance policy with another taxpayer not on my taxes or I have a dependent on my taxes who's filing a separate return?

If he is not longer a dependent on your return, then you would select I shared my policy with another taxpayer NOT on my taxes.

You will then allocate the amount of 0% to 100% to you and he will take the remaining percentage.  So, if you want to claim the entire premiums and tax credit you can or you can split it any way you like.
