Paper tax return

How does an 8 year old sign a paper tax return?

 

This is a first time filing for a UTMA account with taxable interest and capital gains.

As custodian I prepared the return for him in his name and SSN.

    If you're filing a return for a minor child who cannot sign the return, sign the child's name followed by the word "by," then your signature, and your relationship, such as "parent" or "guardian for minor child."

    I am the custodian for a UTMA acct for my grandson.

    He had taxable unearned income for 2024.
