Passive Income Losses Across States owned by me and spouse

Hi.  My husband and I file jointly.  My husband owns and rent out a house in NY.  I own and rent out a house in Nevada.  Can we use passive losses from my house to offset rent income from my husband's house for federal taxes and NY state taxes?

Thank you for your help!

If you are filing jointly, the rental properties will be combined for the federal. Each state, taxes the income from that state - so you will not be combining them on the state returns.
