While running checks TT is asking to enter passive operating loss. I think TT should know this. I read some replies to this and entered 2023 form 8582 Part VIII but I still got an error. Where exactly do I get this number?

it may be asking for the passive loss carryover from 2023. This would be likely if you didn't use Turbotax in that year

usually the PAL is entered in a portion of the form that relates to the activity that created the PAL

No this did not answer my question. In this check, do I enter the 2024 loss? I tried 2023 8582 cumulative loss from Part I line 3 but TT would not eccept.
