Property rented or over 15 years and taken out of service for all of 2023 for repairs and improvements.
We have had a rental property that has been continually rented for 15+ years. We have not rented it for the year of 2023 in order to make major repairs and improvements. It will be rented again in June 2024. Can I use the costs of those repairs and improvements against future income from the rental?
