I am now, full time this year living in the property in question. I need to remove schedule E,  as I lived there the full year.  It is not rental property at all this year, meaning I lived there for 365 days, rented 0 days.

First, keep all documents including Schedule E, and depreciation worksheets or other documents associated with the previous rental activity.  Once you have all of that you can delete the following forms. Next follow the instructions below, then continue with your tax return.

Whenever the property is sold, if by you, in the future you will need all the documents and total depreciation you used as an expense at that time.

You'll need to delete this form See below.

    • If you're using TurboTax Online software and need to delete a form, click here.
    • If you're using TurboTax CD\Download software and need to delete a form, click here

Forms to consider deleting depending on your rental activity:

    Schedule E

    Schedule E Worksheet

    Depreciation

    Form 8582

    Form 4562

Vehicle or Car & Truck Expense Worksheets
