Rental property leaks.No house wrap/moisture barrier.Siding off/bad wood replaced/wrap installed/new siding.20K.Not planned/forced to do.Can I deduct in 1 yr?Where?

I know that siding is normally a multi-year depreciation, but I was forced to do this to protect my rental from a very unusual defect. I have lots of pictures and estimates verifying the missing wrap and rotten wood.

    No, that is a part of the house and must be depreciated. The circumstances don't affect the way it is treated.
