Rental Property Travel Expense Deductions for Meals

When traveling to, and staying at my rental property for maintenance and repair purposes, what counts as a deductible 'meal' expense?  Even though it has a full kitchen, can I still deduct 50% of all food/meal costs, including both dining out, and cooking at my property?  Maybe just 50% of dining out?  Or are perhaps no meal deductions allowed because the added expense of dining out is purely optional since I have the kitchen available to make meals the same as if I were actually at home?

Thanks in advance.

For 2022, you can deduct 100% of meals provided by a restaurant if they are not lavish and 50% of other meals.

If the rental property is not your tax home, and the travel counts as necessary business travel, then it doesn't matter if you have a kitchen in the house. This would be like renting a hotel room with a kitchen.

If you click on the Learn More hyperlink for travel(Not Auto) under rental expenses, TurboTax suggests the following to enter your meals for rental property expenses.  "We suggest that you enter Meal expenses as an 'other' expense on line 19 of Schedule E. Your vehicle expenses should be entered on the Car and Truck Expenses Worksheet. Your Travel expenses should be entered on line 6b. "

To enter it as "Other" you will enter it with description and amount when asked if there are "Any Miscellaneous Expenses?"
