I have more than 3 rentals. How do I add the 4th rental (and additional rentals). I need to know how to add more than the 3 rentals showing on the first Schedule E. I do not see an option to add more than 3 rentals in the program. Thanks for help!

You can add more than three rentals.

Each Schedule E can be used to report up to three rental properties (you can have multiple schedules).

Additional rental properties are reported on additional schedules (up to forty-five in the program).

Can you clarify that please? Is that up to 45 rental properties meaning a maximum of 15 SCH E forms? Or is that 45 SCH E forms meaning a max of 135 rental properties?

How do you get the additional Schedule E's to populate so I can work on them? I am only able to complete the first 3, then not able to enter the second Schedule E. How can I view & complete the additional Schedule E's in TurboTax 2022?

The program does not limit you to three rental properties. You can continue adding properties (up to 45) and note that you do not add a Schedule E, you simply continue to add rental properties.

If you have a desktop version of TurboTax, you can enter Forms Mode and inspect your forms (Schedule E).

The above answers are correct. Just keep adding your rentals and TurboTax will add additional Schedule E's.

Note: Only three rentals will show on each Schedule E.

For example: If you have nine rentals, you'll have three Schedule E's with three on each page.

To enter your 4th and other rentals:

Sign into TurboTax.com.
Select Continue or Pick up where I left off.
On the left navigation panel, select Federal then Wages & Income.
On the Wages and income screen, scroll down to Rental Properties and Royalties (Sch E) and Edit/Add.
On the Your 2022 rentals and royalties summary screen, scroll down to Add another rental or royalty.
On the What are you here to report? screen, select Rental property and Continue.
On the Here's what to expect next screen, you can view the helpful video then Continue.
Continue with the onscreen interview until you finish entering one rental.
Repeat the steps above for each additional rental you have.
