Assuming you have not already filed your return, you may revisit this section of the program.

If you have already filed, you will need to wait to see if your return is accepted or rejected. If rejected, you may correct and resubmit. If it is accepted, you will need to file an amendment.

To revisit this section of TurboTax, please do the following:

  1. From within your return, click My Account in the top right corner
  2. Then, Tools > Topic Search
  3. Type Schedule E in to the search box
  4. With Schedule E highlighted, click GO
  5. You'll see the question Do you want to review your rental and royalty information? Select Yes
  6. You may review a question or two
  7. Then you'll land on a Rental and Royalty Summary
  8. Click Edit next to the property that needs the information edited
  9. Under Property Profile, next to General Property Information, click Update/Revisit
  10. On about the 4th screen, you'll be asked Was This Property Rented for All of 2016? Select No.
  11. This will expand the selection to choose how many days were personal and how many were rented.

Please comment back if you need additional help.
