i accidently entered a royalty income on Schedule E worksheet, page 2, line 4 - enter royalties received (not reported elsewhere).  Then entered my royalty from form 1099-misc which resulted in a duplication and filed my taxes with this error.  Trying to do an amendment but can not access schedule E worksheet to make correction.

How can i make an amendment and correct the duplication on schedule E?

If your original return has been accepted by the IRS and you have received your refund (if any), you should be able to amend your return

Once you begin the process, delete the Form 1099-MISC that was entered in error. The Schedule E you completed for the royalty property should remain on your return.

If you are using TurboTax Online:

    1. Login to TurboTax and click on Continue your return to get into the prep section.
    2. Click on Tax Tools in the left column.
    3. Click on Tools.
    4. In the list at the bottom, click on Delete a form.
    5. Click Delete next to the relevant form.
    6. Click Delete Selected Form to confirm deletion.

If you are using the Desktop version of our software:

    1. Click on Forms in the upper right of your screen.
    2. Find the relevant form on the left-hand side of your screen in the Forms in My Return list.
    3. Click on the form (note, there may be one for both taxpayer and spouse if married filing jointly).
    4. Click Delete Form button at the bottom of the screen.
    5. Click Yes to confirm you want to delete.
