short sale option still not supported on turbotax?

short sale call option and cash secured put.

I sold those options to get option premium. And they are expired.

So cost is $0, and gain should be some $ amount.

Either manually add sale or upload from brokerage account shows same thing as below

What type of investment did you sell?

there are only one selection for options.

so when I choose option

there are two selection. Sold or expired.

When I click expired, process box is gone which make it impossible to report gain correctly.

I even tried to cost as negative value, and not possible.

I searched more than 30 minutes and found out that some says turbotax not support short sale option.

Am I missing something? or it is turbotax?

could be your broker in completing the transfer file. I too short options. some that expire and I get complete data when importing from my broker including correct dates, sales price, and cost (including 0) in the right columns. nothing to fix. There's nothing that Turbotax can fix when a broker does not follow its guidelines in completing that electronic file. However, I use desktop deluxe (Windows) so I can't say if the issue is with the online app. past years always using D.D. have never been a problem either as far back as I can remember like 2018
