Should I add if I just became a nys realtor in late 2024 but have no commissions yet but have showed houses and used my gas and miles and phone, can I do a write off?

    Yes.

     

    If you were active as a realtor in 2024 but had no income, you can still claim your business expenses on Schedule C. This will result in a business loss, which can offset your other ordinary income, or carried forward as a NOL (Net Operating Loss).
