Should my rental property improvements show up in an expense/asset line item under Assets in my rental property info tab?

There seems to be a glitch with the rental property info page in Wages & Income. I have added the improvements and if I choose "add expense or asset" I can go through the menus and all the appropriate info is there, but it does not have a line item in the property info under assets.

Please clarify if you are reporting these improvements as assets for depreciation or an expense under the Safe Harbor Election for Small Taxpayers?
