Sold rental property 2021, but didn't include all expenses

I sold a rental property in 2021 that I had renovated prior to the sale.  I was unaware I could write off all of the expenses due to the sale.  Am I able to write those off this year?

No. Any expenses related to the 2021 sale should have been deducted on your 2021 return.

You cannot write off expenses incurred, and paid, in 2021 on your 2022 return. You will have to amend your 2021 return if you want to deduct those expenses.
