Trying to use TT free version but it says I must upgrade because I have Incentive Stock Options. I didn't report this though, & I don't think I do for 2023. Help?

Did you sell any stock options in 2023? If not then you do not need to upgrade or answer any questions concerning an investment sale other then answering NO when asked about a sale.

If the program insists that you must upgrade then you need to clear and start over. When starting over do not answer any questions concerning stock or stock options.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2023 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
