Question

TT/Mac:Premier "Stocks, bonds, etc. (1099-B)" stuck on "Needs Review"

I've painstakingly entered (via "Bulk Edit", which is not exactly transparent) all the missing✻ information for 30 stock sales transactions, but they all have the red "Needs Review" tag, as does the whole section.  But there's no indication of what needs to be reviewed, nor of how to do so .... there's no action available other than "Bulk Edit": the "Needs Review" tags themselves are not active buttons, just labels.

✻ This started from an E-Trade download, where I needed to enter the cost basis and date of acquisition for many "RS" sales, and the date for several "ESPP" sales.

I can confirm and move on for now, but I expect to run into headaches with this before filing, and obviously it doesn't make me feel confident.

Thank you for your feedback.  For future reference, I have found it best to not import Forms 1099-B when company stock (e.g. Restricted Stock, ESPP stock, etc.) is involved.  It is often quicker to input everything manually than it is to import and add the missing information and clear the errors.

    Thank you

I have 30 small transactions, though, so starting over and entering manually will be my last resort.

But you mentioned "clearing the errors" ... is there actually a way to do this in TT/Mac?

The only way I've found to do anything is via the awkward checkbox+bulk edit, and nothing I do there seems to affect the red "NEEDS REVIEW" labels.  And there's no indication anywhere that anything is actually wrong, or what specifically might need review.

Please see how do I fix multiple "needs review" transactions for some options available to you.
