Question

Turbo tax decided that all the benefit of the sale of my rental property was ordinary income !!!! Crazy

Depreciation recapture is taxed as ordinary income.

Turbotax treated ALL of the difference sale - purchase + recapture - expenses as ordinary. ALL, a 6-figure difference in tax due after I hired a preparer.  Yes, 6-figure
