Question

Turbo Tax is incorrectly taking gas royalty depletion on my PA tax return. Appears Turbo Tax is just carrying it over from Fed return. How do I remove it?

Yes, you can remove the depletion expense carried over from your federal return during the Pennsylvania State interview.

When you see the page "Rents, Royalties, Patents, or Copyrights," continue to verify the royalty address, gross receipts, and that you had no depreciation.

Then answer "yes" to Did you have depletion expense for this royalty? This answer will open a box with the amount of depletion expense from federal return. Delete the value and continue.
